Some aspects still under construction and in need of improvement, such as the third bathroom and lockers for all guests. No kitchen available for guests to cook their own meals.

I stayed at The Steady for a week while traveling solo. The communal areas had a great vibe and I loved meeting new people. The storage lockers were convenient and I appreciated that they sold locks. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and treated everyone like family, creating a welcoming atmosphere. This will be my go-to place for future trips.

I booked a two-week stay at The Steady at the last minute after having decided that another property in central Hollywood wasn’t right for me. It ended up being just what I needed as a base for exploring the city. Though the Pod Room slept twelve, it felt very private as all the beds were self-contained with curtains. East Hollywood is quiet but well-connected. I can’t think of a better spot to be in.

The dorms were beautifully designed and very clean, making it a pleasant stay overall. The beds were comfortable and having individual plugs was a great convenience. The location was also a plus, with only a 13-minute walk to the nearest underground station, making it easy to explore the area.

The staff was not friendly or helpful. The reception staff barely acknowledged me at check-in and seemed disinterested in assisting throughout my stay.

As bike riders, we loved the convenience of the mini mart on-site, stocked with chips, candy bars, cup of soup, and sodas. the provided breakfast options like granola, oatmeal, fruit, toast, peanut butter, and milk were perfect for fueling our rides. the staff at the Steady, especially Christian, were outstanding - professional, responsive, and friendly. the screening process for guests, requiring proof of travel and not allowing locals to stay for over two weeks, was a smart move given the area. the pod beds were clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the provided towel. the facilities were good, with a fridge and microwave available for guests. the bathrooms, although a bit tired-looking, were clean and adequately equipped with shampoo and shower gel. the location was solid, with a short walk to the metro and just 5 minutes to central Hollywood once on the metro. a great place for solo travelers like us to meet people and enjoy a laid-back vibe.

There are also clever features in the building, such as skylights that provide natural light in the common areas.

Privacy is limited in the small hostel and there are no opportunities to have personal space.

The check-out time at 10am was brutal. there wasn't much around for grocery shopping and the staff could have been more welcoming.
